Square Dance is mostly danced in squares consisting of four couples each, hence the name Square Dance. There is no fixed choreography, but different figures which are lined up by the caller. The dancers never know what comes next and this makes Square Dance so interesting and varied. The caller’s task is to put the figures together in a beautiful, sometimes demanding, but always fluid sequence. The music selection is very diverse, from country, pop and rock to classical music, there is something for every taste.
